Energize Denver: Energy Benchmarking Ordinance Training

Now that the ordinance deadline has passed (June 1st), the city has allowed for a 90 day grace period that ends September 1st. During this grace period, The City of Denver is offering more trainings to the public to help get them successfully onto Portfolio Manager and submitted to the city.

These courses are presented by The City of Denver, and if you have any questions getting your building(s) submitted, please direct them to the help line at 844-536-4528 or email energizedenver@denvergov.org.

Jam Session Objectives

  • Establish an account in ENERGY STAR® Portfolio Manager® and enter information about your building(s), including the Denver Building ID
  • Set-up auto-upload of utility usage data with Xcel Energy.
  • Analyze your energy use to identify opportunities for increased performance.
  • Determine eligibility to achieve ENERGY STAR® certification.
  • Set clear performance goals in ENERGY STAR® Portfolio Manager® for your buildings' energy use.
  • Submit your benchmarking report to the City and County of Denver to comply with the new benchmarking ordinance.
  • Light snacks, refreshments and coffee will be served.
