Support Squads

Organizations like IREM, have always thrived because of volunteers. Now, more than ever, IREM Greater Denver will need to leverage those that have the time, skill-set, and passion for service. If as you re-balance, you think you might have something to offer, consider which support squad fits you better.

Community Service (Interim Lead: Heather Coon, CPM)
To utilize IREM member and IP resources to provide volunteer labor and materials most needed by our community partner.

1. Organize a work day to support Brent's Place and their new building.

2. Organize, collect and deliver supplies as defined by Brent's Place, to be collected at the monthly luncheon meetings.

3. Establish community service committee awareness and grow engagement.

Golf (Leads: Rudy Rodriguez and Shane Fordham)

Plan and implement the annual golf tournament
1. Create budget and pricing structure
2. Secure Sponsors and attendees

3. Obtain drawing prizes, plan games, and oversee the closing lunch.
4. Present $10,000.00 to Brent's Place

Industry Partner (Lead: Jeff Nemec, ACoM)
To recruit and retain industry partners
1. IP Experience - Retention
2. Increase Member Awareness and usage of IPs - Recruiting

Legislative (Lead: Nate Baumgart, ARM)
To interact with local and national legal and legislative entities to have the interests of the members understood, and to communicate efforts and results back to the membership.
1. Increase the visibility of IREM through in person meetings with local and federal legislators.
2. Work with DORA to communicate membership education and needs as it relates to new laws, licensing and ordinances that can impact property management.
3. Plan and implement legislative education

4. Include IREM in the local real estate legislative voice by attending the Colorado Real Estate Alliance meetings on the 4th Monday of the month.

Outreach (Interim Lead: Janna Dalton, CPM)
Promote IREM to students and employers.
1. Continue to implement the DU Student workshops.
2. Plan corporate visits to elevate the recognition and support of the IREM designations among employers
3. Invite members to LinkedIn and maintain a consistent social media presence.
4. Assist with marketing the CPM-Intro Event to property management companies.

Support Squad Lead(s)
To lead the squad to meet the goals, and to be the liaison to the Board.
1. Recruit members to the squad.
2. Schedule and facilitate squad meetings.
3. Prepare the agenda for the squad meetings, circulating to members prior to the meeting
4. Ensure the squad is focused on objectives, delegating tasks to be completed between meetings.
5. Follow up with squad members between meetings.
6. Support members in complet
ion of tasks so that objectives are met
7. Report to the Board progress, challenges and financial needs
