Show Me The Money!

Securing financing in the cannabis industry can still be a bit tricky. After all, cannabis is still a Schedule 1 narcotic in the eyes of the of the federal government. However, many private lenders are taking advantage of this market to finance cannabis businesses of all kinds. 

But when we say "show me the money," in this industry, that can sometimes mean a car truck with $250,000 in cash in the trunk to pay off a loan. 

Yes! This really happened to Glen Weinberg, the founder of Fairview Lending, recognized as a leader in private lending both in Colorado and throughout the country. He's financed a number of cannabis projects and has the stories, scars and helpful tips to prove it.

Glen Weinberg - Fairview Commercial Lending

Glen graduated from Indiana University with a triple major (finance, operations management, and Finance information systems). Throughout his career he has worked for three fortune five hundred companies (Cummins Engine, Coca Cola, and Intel) in various roles ranging from optimizing logistics networks, finance information systems, operations finance, and mergers and acquisitions. He also assisted a small public company in Oregon through a bankruptcy and subsequent sale to a private party. During his employment with various companies, he privately invested in residential and commercial properties throughout the United States. Prior to founding Fairview Lending he underwrote residential and commercial loans for a large private lender throughout the Southeast. He has also personally invested in both real estate and real estate notes for the last 20 years.

Since founding Fairview Lending, Glen has been published in the Colorado Real Estate Journal, The Mortgage Press, The Denver Post, Mortgage Professional America,  and Colorado Biz Magazine on topics ranging from hard money lending, alternative financing, turnaround management, and general education on non-conventional lending/underwriting. He is recognized as a leader in private lending both in Colorado and throughout the country.

Currently Glen manages the day to day operations of Fairview Lending including servicing, funding, originations, and file underwriting and is based out of the Steamboat Springs, CO office.  He also manages the contract servicing of loans for various banks, private lenders, securities, and insurance companies. His strong operations, finance information systems, and real estate finance background enable him to effectively lead the organization, optimize systems/processes, and differentiate Fairview within the marketplace.
